MAPS Dorchester Open House Sep. 29

Massachusetts Alliance of Portuguese Speakers will be hosting an Open House to celebrate their 10th anniversary!

The event will be on September 29th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. MAPS is a private non-profit organization providing health and social services to Portuguese speakers in Massachusetts since 1970. The agency six offices in Greater Boston, Lowell and Framingham, and has been serving Dorchester and surrounding neighborhoods for more than 20 years. The non-profit helps with immigrant social services, domestic violence services, HIV/AIDS Prevention, a Youth Wellness Program, educational programs and more! The Dorchester Office is located at One Stoughton Street in Upham's Corner. Staff and volunteers from the organization are planning office tours, program displays, entertainment, speakers and refreshments. The event is free and open to the public. MAPS works with and for the Brazilian, Cape Verdean, Portuguese and other Portuguese-speaking communities to increase access and remove barriers to health, education and social services through direct services, advocacy, leadership and community development.
