BACH Community Advisory Board

Do you care about the health of Bowdoin Geneva?
Do you want to be part of the decision making process?
Boston Alliance for Community Health (BACH) is looking for residents for a Community Advisory Board (CAB) to develop a Request for Proposal (RFP) and select the winner(s)!
CAB Member Requirements:

  • Must be a resident of Bowdoin Geneva.
  • Must NOT be affiliated with an organization planning to apply (will need to sign a waiver).
  • Must NOT be employed by a community agency.
  • Must commit to 5-7 CAB meetings in 2016, including one full-day training, Saturday, 12/19, on leadership development, grant writing and reviewing, and community organizing.

All CAB members will receive a stipend (TBD) for participation at each meeting. >> Read More

CORI Sealing Help

The Greater Boston Legal Services CORI & Re-entry Project has a table set up between 9AM and 12PM on the 2nd  and 4th Wednesdays of each month (excluding court holidays and December 23) on the first floor of the Dorchester courthouse.  They are also at the Roxbury courthouse on the 3rd Thursday of each month on the second floor.

The next 2015 Dorchester court dates are November 25, and December 9.

The next 2015 Roxbury court dates are November 19and  December 17.

They have attorneys and volunteers ready at the table to help you get a copy of your CORI or look over a copy you already have with you. They can tell you any sealing options you have for any court and try to offer additional help. >> Read More

Student Trooper Program!

The American Legion, Department of Massachusetts, Inc. sponsors a "Student Trooper Program" in cooperation with the Massachusetts State Police Academy every year.

Our desire is to recruit youths representing all communities and cultural backgrounds and to increase their understanding of the job of police officers. The program is designed to expose young adults to the demands of police training and to develop better relationships between the youth of our communities and the police that serve them.
