Dorchester House Family Fair | May 29

Dorchester House (1353 Dorchester Ave) is hosting a family fair on May 29 from 3pm to 7pm! This is a free community event to help celebrate the start of a happy and healthy summer. The featured activities will include Zumba, health screenings, raffles, resource tables, health insurance enrollment assistance and new patient enrollment. SCI Social Capital Luncheon | March 26

Please join DotWell, in partnership with Codman Square Health Center and Dorchester House Multi-Service Center in honoring Cynthia Loesch at the March 26 SCI Social Capitalist Luncheon. Cynthia started her career as a community organizer by founding the BOLD Teens, a youth-led social and environmental justice group, when she was just 13.

The BOLD Teens began as a group of young people in Dorchester, who, like Cynthia, had lost relatives to tobacco-related illnesses. Signature successes include convincing the Boston Globe to ban advertising of all tobacco products in November 1999 and leading the effort to ban the sale of tobacco products in Boston pharmacies in 2008. >> Read More

In collaboration with the Boston Public Health Commission and Weight Watchers, Dorchester House is fortunate to be one of the three community health centers in Boston offering both Weight Watchers meetings and subsidized memberships for eligible people.  The Dorchester House  Weight Watchers meetings begin this Thursday,  January 31, in the Multipurpose room.   The Weigh-In begins @ 5:30..

As a member of the Boston Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Coalition, DotWell offers FREE tax preparation for hard working Dorchester families. Taxpayers who earned less than $50,000 in the previous tax year can have their taxes prepared for free and claim important tax credits such as the EITC.
