14th Annual "Tom's Toy Party" Dec. 3

Tom Gannon's 14th Annual "Tom's Toy Party" will be taking place on Saturday, December 3rd at 8:00 p.m. The event will be held at the Stadium, located at 232 Old Colony Avenue in South Boston. The event will be benefitting the children of the Boys & Girls Club of Dorchester, so bring an unwrapped toy to be distributed at the party! "Pay it Forward" Fashion & Talent Showcase, Nov. 18

On Friday, November 18th, Stajez Dance Company & Wise Men Marketing and Promotions will Present “Pay It Forward,” a 1st annual Fashion & Talent Show Case. "Pay it Forward" will promote the remarkable power of paying good deeds forward, and remind us all that small acts of kindness can make a big impact. Do You Pay It Forward?

The event will be from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Blue Hill Boys and Girls Club at 15 Talbot Street in Dorchester. Admission is $10, and will support a great cause.

There will be tables with information about organizations that promote peace, healing and to educate youth & families about upward mobility and education.  The event's main feature will be a fashion show followed by a phenomenal talent showcase. The central theme is “Pay it Forward.” All participants involved have committed themselves to making this event one that is both entertaining as well as productive, and your presence will bring it all together.

Feel free to bring banners, pamphlets and other items that will make your table attractive and inviting to the large number of people that are expected to attend!

Senior Boat RideThe annual Area B-3 boat ride and breakfast for seniors will be held on Tuesday, September 13. The event begins with an 8:00 a.m. continental breakfast at the Dorchester Boys and Girls Club (1135 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester, MA 02125), followed by a bus to the boat tour of Boston Harbor. BYEN Urban Environmental Education Workshop Series, Sep. 6, 7, 8

Participate in the BYEN Urban Environmental Education Workshop Series! These workshops are part of "BYEN's Everyday Explorers: Science in After School" program and now available to network members free of charge. Register for individual sessions or attend all. Dorchester Music Clubhouse Summer Bash, Aug. 12

The Dorchester Music Clubhouse will be hosting an extraordinary event on August 12! The "End of the Summer Bash" will conclude the clubhouse's summer programming with a BBQ & Concert. "Raising Children in a Violent World" Presentation, Jun. 15

Many children are exposed to violence, be it in the media, in their community or in their own homes. Parents, extended family, and other important adults in children’s lives can play a key role in protecting them. Please join Boys and Girls Club of Dorchester June 15 for a Presentation on "Raising Children in a Violent World," 6:30 p.m. at Boys and Girls Clubs of Dorchester, 1135 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester, MA.

This presentation will focus on the violence in children’s lives and identify the effects of witnessing violence of children. Chubb Rock presents: "Passing the Mic", Jun. 23

Old-school rappers will be performing alongside talented Dorchester youth, ages 10-15, on June 23 when the Blue Hill Boys & Girls Club hosts “Passing the Mic.” 80s and 90s rap stars Chubb Rock, Dana Dane, Gizmo and Milk Dee of Audio 2, Joeski Love, and guest host Celtics center Glen “Big Baby” Davis will be headlining the event. Come watch talented locals get the opportunity to collaborate with established rap artists at the historical Strand Theatre in Uphams Corner.
