 The Alzheimer’s Association is presenting a series of workshops on Essential Skills for Family Caregivers. The Essential Skills for Family Caregivers series provides education and practical tools to those caring for someone with dementia. The goal of the series is to improve day-to-day living and overall quality of life for the person with dementia and the caregiver. The series covers communication techniques, strategies to manage difficult behaviors and safety in the home. Essential Skills is free and intended for family caregivers.

 

When: Monday, January 25 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m

Where: Grove Hill Library Branch, 41 Geneva Avenue, Dorchester

Two additional workshops will follow at the same time and place February 1 and 8.

For National Memory Screening Week, Boston Alzheimer’s Initiative will be hosting an information and Q&A session with FREE Memory Screenings for Alzheimer’s Disease.  

When : Mon Nov 2, 10-2pm

 Where: Boston City Hall, Room 8001, 8th Floor

Any information gathered will be kept completely confidential. 

Memory Screenings must be reserved in advance.
