Clap Innovation School Hosts Benefit Concert Feb. 10

Clap Innovation School will be hosting an evening with world-renowned and champion fiddler Hanneke Cassel at the Carpenters Center, located at 750 Dorchester Ave. The evening will open with a social hour at 7 p.m. and the concert starts at 8 p.m. Tickets will be limited for this event, and are $20.00, available through Roger Clap Innovation School. 17th Annual Rebuilding Together Comedy Night! March 8

Spend the evening laughing with Mistress of Ceremonies Susan Wornick, WCVB-TV, and Boston's BEST comedians, and support RTB's efforts to rebuild the houses and lives of Boston's low income homeowners. Rebuilding Together is the nation's leading nonprofit working to preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize communities.

Enjoy Charity, cocktails and comedy on Tuesday, March 8th. Doors will open at :30 p.m. and comedy will start at 7:30 p.m. The event will be held at Nick's Comedy Stop, 100 Warrenton Street in Boston. Boston City Singers 2nd Annual Gala | March 30

Boston City Singers will be hosting their second annual Global Voices GALA to benefit the young voices of Boston City Singers. The Gala will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012 from 6:30 to 10:30 at Venezia on the Waterfront in Dorchester. Enjoy cocktails, dinner, entertainment, and an auction in benefit to a great cause! Cupid Splash @ Malibu Beach March 24

Malibu Beach in Dorchester , and 6 other locations in Boston, will be the site of a "cupid splash" on March 24 to benefit Save The Harbor / Save The Bay!

At 12 noon, "cupids" will dash and splash in the water to demonstrate their commitment to a clean Boston Harbor and to support their beach. Immediately following the splash, participants and their fans and friends will adjourn to a local pub – to warm up, eat lunch, and relax with a Harpoon beer. The first 2 beers for each participating “cupid” is on Save The Harbor / Save The Bay!

Cupid Splash Kick-Off @ Harpoon Brewery Feb. 1

Meet at Harpoon Brewery on Wednesday, February 1st at 6:00 p.m. for the 2nd Annual Cupid Splash kick-off party! The Annual Cupid Splash, sponsored by Save The Harbor / Save The Bay, will be held at the BCYF Curley Community Center on March 24, and at 7 other locations throughout Boston, including Tenean Beach in Dorchester. Participants raise funds to support Save the Harbor/Save the Bay and its Better Beaches program. Participants are encouraged to sport their finest “cupid” attire!

Sk8 For Haiti Jan. 13 & 14

This MLK weekend, join Groovement for the first annual Sk8 for Haiti event, taking place Friday, January 13, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday, January 14th, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The event is a fundraiser for the Matenwa Community Learning Center located in Lagonav, Haiti. "Sk8 for Matenwa" will be a 2 day skate benefit where a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Matenwa Community Learning Center. will be taking place at 11 Rhoades St. Suite 15 (Between Blue Hill Ave. and Frontenac Street) in Mattapan, 02124. The Haitian American Media and Restaurant Network will be hosting a celebration and fundraiser for Jean-Claude Sanon! Jean-Claude Sanon has worked tirelessly for over 30 years to improve access to social, economic, and legal services within the Boston community. The event will also mark Jean-Claude's campaign kickoff for a city council position. 1st Annual Leahy Holloran Polar Bear Plunge, Jan. 1

In memory of Brian Leahy, the Leahy Holloran Community Center will be hosting their 1st Annual Polar Bear Plunge! Startoff the New Year with a very chilly swim at the beach. On Sunday, January 1, 2012 (New Year's Day) the plunge will happen at 4:00pm at Tenean Beach, Neponset. $25 admission will include a pancake breakfast, and the first 50 people registered will receive a Polar Bear Plunge Hooded Sweatshirt! Sportsmen's Tennis & Enrichment Center is once again preparing for an evening of thanks, recognition, and celebration! The Annual Gala for Kids & Community will be held at The Lantana in Randolph, MA on Friday, January 6. Tavolo's Pasta Tour to Benefit ANS Dec. 7, 14

Tavolo will be hosting a Pasta Tour of Italy to benefit Ashmont Nursery School! On December 7, Tavolo's Pasta Tour will feature Sardegna, and on December 14, Basilicata. The dinner is $25, and $5 dollars will be donated towards Ashmont Nursery School - a parent-run cooperative dedicated to fostering exploration, play, and the lifelong love of learning.
