On Tuesday, May 6 Bikes Not Bombs will host a film screening. This event will take place at Bikes Not Bombs located at 284 Amory Street in Jamaica Plain from 6-8:30 pm. Bikes Not Bombs will show a new documentary titled “Power to the Pedals: Wenzday Jane and the Culture of Change”. This is a 30 minute film presentation that features the story of Wenzday Jane, the founder of Metro Pedal Power. Wenzday grew up in a low-income household and was able to harness her mechanical skills to build a successful business-- with priorities on social justice and community building.

After the film there will be a panel of three to four speakers focusing on the process of personal and professional development, and the hard and soft skills youth can develop to move onto jobs after high school. For more information about the event email Erica at erica@bikesnotbombs.org.
