Dot-ini 2014, the X-Tini, is happening November 6th from 7PM to 10 PM at The Blarney Stone celebrate our tenth annual with world-famous Master of Ceremonies (and neighbor!) RYAN LANDRY, have a great time AND support Fields Corner Main Street!
Our signature annual event “Martinis on the Avenue” started in 2005 as a joint fundraising event by Fields Corner Main Street and St. Mark’s Area Main Street to highlight the organizations’ efforts revitalizing their adjoining business districts on Dorchester Avenue. Nicknamed the “Dot-ini” the event is now run by Fields Corner Main Street and is one of THE highlights of Dorchester’s autumn social season. Each year brings a new creative theme, plus a sample of an original cocktail designed for each year’s event. Enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres cash bar and bid on great auction items.

ThinkTank Blarney Stone | June 5

Thinktank is a newer and more engaging form of pub quiz/bar trivia featuring a variety of questions accompanied by a visual component for the patrons to follow along with. thinktank is also very accessible for song, category, & feedback requests through facebook.com/thinktanktrivia, @thinktanktrivia on twitter, or in person.

DFSI Fundraiser | March 28


Five runners will represent the Dorchester Family School Initiative in the Boston Marathon on April 15th. There will be a fundraiser on March 28th at the Blarney Stone. Food and entertainment is free.  Donations at the door. 
 
By donating to the DFSI Marathon Fundraiser, you will directly support students at DFSI's three partner schools, the Lee Academy Pilot School, Joseph Lee Elementary and the Oliver W. Holmes. Your continued support will provide before and after school programming and enrichment activities throughout the school year.

Saint Patrick's Day @ The Blarney Stone | March 17

Don't miss Saint Patrick's Day at The Blarney Stone (1505 Dorchester Ave)! Come for the Guinness ... stay for the craic! Corned beef, cabbage and shepherd's pie will be served at 11am accompanied with Irish soda bread and creamy pints of Guinness. Traditional Irish step dancers take the floor at 6pm!

Dorchester-Milton Restaurant Week, Jan 15 - 30

Last night: Tonight Jan 30! What began in 2010 as a bright idea aimed at blasting winter-weary residents south-of-Boston out of their homes and into local restaurant seats is now, Dorchester-Milton Restaurant Week, apopular annual tradition.

Three-course dinners for $30.12 at nine cream-of-the-crop restaurants, each located within a few blocks of each other and listed below - plus free parking at all locations. 

2012 Dorchester-Milton Restaurant Week is Sunday through Thursday nights between January 15 and 30.

Write on the DOT Reading @ Blarney Stone Dec. 11

On Sunday, December 11, Write On The DOT will host a poetry reading at Blarney Stone in Fields Corner. The reading will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30, and feature UMass-Boston MFA candidates, and writers in the Dorchester community, including Sam Cha, Aaron Devine, Johnny Diaz, Mariya "Morie" Deykute, and Christopher Kain. A summary of Write On The Dot's mission from their blog: "Write on the DOT is a reading series presented by students in UMass-Boston's Creative Writing MFA Program. The series seeks to create a space in which UMass writers and Dorchester writers can meet, mingle, and check out what each other are up to." Henderson / Harbor Fundraiser @ Blarney Stone Nov. 3

On Thursday, November 3, there will be a fundraiser to support the Henderson/Harbor Schools partnership. All are welcome! The event will be at the Blarney Stone, where you can enjoy drinks and snacks upon admission.
