Free Smoking Cessation Program
The Harvard School of Dental Health in partnership with the National Institutes of Health is offering free smoking cessation support in the form of nicotine patches and counseling, in exchange for participation in their 2 year study on the effective amount of time needed to quit smoking. Nicotine replacement patches are used during the first 12 weeks at no cost to participants.
Eligibility is based upon a good bill of health from the participant’s doctor. Well controlled, mild to moderate conditions are acceptable in most cases, with the understanding that participants would be able to participate for the full 2 years and attend weekly appointments as appropriate. Their office is located in downtown Boston next to the State Street orange line stop and very close to the Government Center station.
If you have any questions or would like additional information, please call the office at 617-367-1665.
