TEENS: Community Health Careers Internships at DotWell

Community Health Careers Internships at DotWell
Looking for an internship? Want to jumpstart your career? Apply to be a community health ambassador in DotWell's summer internship program.

The DotWell Community Health Careers Internship Program (CHCIP) is a 7-week youth workforce development program that will introduce youth ages 15-17yrs, to careers in the community health sector. The program will consist of daily two-hour professional development workshops and four hours of hands-on work experience within DotWell and its partner health centers The Codman Square Health Center and The Dorchester House Multi-Service Center. The weekly development workshops will focus on community health education and training, research projects, self- care and health care access and promotion and fiscal literacy. The hands-on work experience will educate and expose the CHCIP interns to the various community health career pathways as well as developing a greater understanding of how to identify and address health disparities affecting the community. The goal of the program is to help youth develop skills necessary to become healthy productive citizens.

Boston Youth Fund Summer Internships are made possible by the efforts of the Teen Center and the financial support of the Mayor’s Youth Funds.
