Do you believe that you make the absolute best chocolate brownies? mole sauce? cake? truffles? pudding? Then the Great Chocolate Cook-Off is for you! The Dorchester Historical Society invites amateur chefs and professionals alike to submit their best chocolate creations (savory or sweet) on Sunday, February 21, when a panel of judges perform a blind tasting to determine the winners.

That afternoon at 2 p.m. Anthony Sammarco, well-known author and lecturer on Dorchester history, will present an illustrated talk on his [fifty-seventh!] book The Baker Chocolate Company: A Sweet History that chronicles the history and development of this venerable and delicious industry in Dorchester's Lower Mills.

Afterwards, sample chocolate creations submitted by professional chefs and amateur bakers in competition for top bragging rights.
