As some of you know, there is an effort to buy back Blandino Farm (behind homes on Ashmont & Adams Sts) to stop development of condos and establish a community farm and urban farm school.  The developers are interested in selling (since the condo market is so slow) and the farm would provide greenspace, fresh produce, and a wonderful set of programs for adults and children in the community.  Many of the abutters are already in support and there is considerable energy around this idea, but time is running out!  
 
I have joined the "Farm Team" and am asking you to join too!  Unless we raise enough money to buy back the farm soon, the condos will be built and it will be too late.  We are looking for 400 letters of support THIS WEEK from Dorchester residents and businesses to bring to potential funders to demonstrate the strength of the proposal.  Please sign the attached statement of support (request flyer.doc) and return it to Lucia Colombaro (address on the doc) ASAP.
