Dot Day Parade Committee's 2012 Mayor of Dorchester Contest, Feb. 21
Come One, Come All, Dorchester residents to campaign to be the next honorary Mayor of Dorchester. The Dorchester Day Parade Committee is looking for a few good neighbors to complete for the bestowed title as the honorary Mayor of Dorchester. The winner will receive the coveted Mayor's medallion, serve as the honorary mayor for one year and will have the respect and thanks of the whole Dorchester Community. The Mayor will also walk at the front of the parade on Sunday, June 3, 2012 and will be invited to participate in all of the Dorchester Day events for 2012.
All Dorchester residents that are interested in being in the race for Mayor are asked to come to the next Dorchester Day Parade Committee meeting on Tuesday, February 21, at the Comfort Inn (900 Morrissey Blvd.) in the conference room at 7 P.M. The committee will take your contact information and will explain the rules and timeline.
Registration for the contest will remain open until the meeting on Monday, March 19.
