On Monday, April 21 the Unitarian United Urban Ministry (UUUM) will host a Patriot’s Day event. Join UUUM for a free breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and other delicious treats. There will be an award ceremony, scholarship presentation, and a William Dawes Ride Reenactment by the National Lancers.
This event will take place at the Ministry located at John Elliot Square in Roxbury from 8 am until 1 pm. Come celebrate Boston’s role in freeing the American colonies from British occupation. While Paul Revere headed to Concord, William Dawes set out from the First Church in Roxbury to Lexington on the same night, April 18,1775. Dawes's mission was to warn John Hancock and Samuel Adams they were in danger of arrest. Join the UUUM for their annual Patriot's Day Breakfast followed by the Reenactment of William Dawes's Ride.
