The Friendship Social | June 12

Since 2010 the Friendship Social has provided the oopportunity for enjoyment  for people of all disabilities. It also provides a much nneeded opportunity to socialize with others from the community. More sponsors, gguests and volunteers are welcome.

This event is for everyone with All Disabilities, as well as anyone who would like to make new friends.  Come and take advantage of this opportunity to get together for an amazing night out filled with fun, food, dancing and socializing.

Codman Square Farmers Market | June 18 - Oct 22

Come get fresh, locally grown food in your neighborhood! Fruits, veggies, meat, fish, bread, herbs, crafts, and more will be available at this year's Codman Square Farmers Market! Open EVERY Saturday this year! Some days will have picnics, entertainment, a walking group, and more!  AND you can use your EBT card and get up to $10 back in Bounty Bucks to use at the market!

The Future of MyDorchester | June 2

We’re planning an evening to hear feedback from the community about the relevance, role and future of MyDorchester. We’re hoping to find out how we can continue to shape the website/program to best serve the neighborhood - whether that’s changing how the site is managed, what is on the site, whether to have a website at all, who we should be listening to and working with.

SCI Breakfast | May 25

There will be a free breakfast and conversation with SCI (Social Capital Inc.) President David Crowley, SCI AmeriCorps members, and partners at Codman Square Health Center. They will be discussing SCI's inspiring mission and programming, in Dorchester and throughout Eastern Massachusetts. 

SCI’s mission is to strengthen communities by connecting diverse individuals and organizations through civic engagement initiatives. 

Jay Ash, Secretary for Housing and Economic Development for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, will join to offer some introductory remarks about social capital.

Come learn about how ways to get involved with SCI, including volunteering, being an SCI AmeriCorps host site or SCI AmeriCorps member, serving on our Board of Directors, or donating vital funds.
