Neighborhood Coffee Hours | June 16

Mayor Martin J. Walsh  will host Neighborhood Coffee Hour at Martin Tot Lot (95 Myrtlebank Avenue in Dorchester). The event will take place on June 16 from 9:30am to 10:30am. The Neighborhood Coffee Hours will give residents a unique opportunity to speak directly with Mayor Walsh about needs in the neighborhood. All participants will enjoy coffee and breakfast treats from Dunkin' Donuts and fresh fruit from Whole Foods Market. Free Spring Cello Concert | May 15

Culinary Couples Night | May 15

Make your date memorable and have a good time with your significant other! The Kroc Center is hosting a Culinary Couples Night where couples will prepare and cook a delicious meal together. The event will take place at 650 Dudley Street in a state-of-the-art culinary arts training kitchen alongside a professional chef. Later, enjoy a scrumptious dinner in the dining hall to smooth and soothing music. Don't have a date? Bring a friend, sibling or co-worker! Singles are welcome to pay half the couples' rate. The event will take place on May 15 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm and will cost $50/couple for members and $60/couple for non-members. Mattapan Moving for Life | June 14

Join the Mattapan Food & Fitness Coalition on June 14 from 9am to 1pm for the 7th Annual Moving for Life event. The event will take place at the Boston Nature Center (500 Walk Hill Street in Mattapan). This fun event will provide opportunities for residents of all ages to experience the joys of being active! Activities will include walking, running, dance, yoga, stretching and circuit training. There will also be nutrition workshops, healthy cooking demos and healthy snacks. Each week a librarian from the Fields Corner Branch (1520 Dorchester Ave) will dedicate 90 minutes to assisting individuals with any computer challenge. Appointments are not necessary, but anyone seeking help is asked to arrive by 11:30 a.m. for guaranteed assistance.

Jordan Eagles: Blood Dust

Boston Center for the Arts presents the first Boston-area exhibition of New York-based artist Jordan Eagles. For over a decade, Eagles has been using and preserving blood in his multi-dimensional works as a method to explore themes of regeneration and the metaphysical connections between body, spirit and nature.
