UMass Boston National Night Out, Aug. 2

Celebrate National Night Out 2011 on Tuesday, August 2! From 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., enjoy kids' activites, food and entertainment at UMass Boston during a fun event presented by Mayor Menino, Commissioner Edward Davis, and the BPD Neighborhood watch unit. Shuttles are available from JFK/UMass on the red line as well as from all BPD district stations. National Night Out for Boston is a citywide celebration that cultivates and strengthens partnerships between the community, youth, police, city agencies and community-based organizations. The event also acknowledges the contributions that Neighborhood Watch groups make to Boston's safety and the eve fosters community participation.
