Dorchester Bay EDC Job/Volunteer Openings

Dorchester Bay EDC is looking to fill several positions by the end of March.

One position available is titled the “Renew Boston Neighborhood Network Coordinator” which will oversee outreach efforts of the city’s Renew Boston program to roughly one third of the city – South Boston, Dorchester, and Mattapan regions. They will oversee fellow Renew Boston CBOs in their outreach efforts as well as provide weekly updates to the city. We are looking for Boston residents with multi-lingual skills, ability and experience working with community residents and groups in these areas, and someone with good people skills.

The second is a brief description of an "Renew Boston Volunteer" opportunity for Boston residents who are 55+ years of age and who are interested in giving back to their community by performing Renew Boston outreach for just a few hours a week. Seniors will receive a small stipend as well. 

The third is a part-time, volunteer technology assistant. The Technology Center Lab Assistant is an important representative of the Dorchester Bay Economic Development Corporation (DBEDC) and DBEDC Technology Center (DBEDC).  S/he will work closely with staff, children, and clients and will report directly to the Program Directorr.  The Lab Assistant is expected to always have a positive impact on the flow of services offered by DBEDC and the Tech Center.  The primary responsibility of the Lab Assistant is to maintain and manage the lab in an efficient and professional manner, and act in a support capacity to the Program Coordinator.
